No more staring at my closet with “nothing to wear”! I just wore this summer semi-formal to a boho-chic bar on a VERY chilly and VERY windy night with some great success. Check out my first two looks from one piece! (And a great way to practice planning for a versatile trip wardrobe!)
by Renae Virata | I have a very fashionable friend from Kentucky who inspired this post with her forward-thinking selection of a very chic kimono that she found in LA last summer. No matter where you go this summer, snatch one up for probably one of the most versatile spring/summer pieces in your wardrobe this year!
by Renae Virata | I don’t know about you, but just about my least favorite part about packing is being unprepared or overpacking. I sometimes reach this dilemma when the weather for my destination calls for chilly, rainy weather. I don’t want to pack too many bulky coats, but I want to make sure I’m literally covered. The answer: Trout Rainwear!
by Renae Virata | Summer is officially here, people! And if you haven’t yet decided on where you are going to go or how you are going to spend it, at least have a summer beauty routine in mind. I visited with Spa Nordstrom in Houston to get tips from their beauty and skin care experts on how to make sure you’re prepared for the heat, humidity and summer elements.
by Renae Virata | It might go without saying, but if you plan to attend a church service this summer, err on the conservative without losing your cool. I came across an article in The Port Huron Times Herald (Michigan) that discussed just this topic, advising people to avoid short shorts, beachwear and the like. So here is our take on what’s appropriate to wear if you haven’t attended a religious service in a while or just want to rethink your current style choices.
by Renae Virata - I just recently bought a fabulous mini-dress in a lemon yellow shade (left) that I know I am going to wear all summer. I was even more pleased that OPI’s “Are We There Yet?” I’d chosen for my nails worked so well with it! So what colors should go on your nails to complement this season’s bright colors? Check out our nail color picks that anyone can wear and how to wear them. Read the rest of this entry »
