What to wear to the Rodeo

Rodeo 2011 8Rodeo 2011 1In the back of my closet is a pair of burnt orange cowboy boots.  They stare at me every time I walk in there and almost seem to beg me to take them out.  So when Rodeo time comes, I know that they are probably squealing with anticipation as I take the wads of newspaper out of them and slip my feet into their beautifully tooled, structured leather.  It’s the simplest way to turn any outfit – and I mean any outfit – into a Western ensemble in a jiff. After going through piles of denim skirts, plaid shirts, and a slew of cotton dresses, I settled on my jeggings, a silk snakeprint tunic tank and a chic windbreaker.  Just enough country but still my style.
