The hipster look has flooded most fashionistas’ wardrobes with its played-down yet alluring style. With fashion borrowing from this look more and more, it’s created a new trend that can be hard to pin down these days.

Capturing many, the hipster look is an eclectic attempt to illustrate the working class people through artsy apparel such as hoodies, v-neck t-shirts, the rustic-clad converse sneakers, torn jeans and square-frame glasses. For a compromise between classic styling and the vintage-inspirations of the hipster look, try chic modern accessories that accent the look rather than perpetuate its style extremities.

Hipster Style Tips
- Try mixing things up. Cross the hipster look that you are going for with a bohemian feel, which is the “natural” sister to the more artistic hipster. Both styles share an excessive color palette, a mix of tight and loose clothing, and ruffled, floral skirts.
- Add a decorated headband for a baroque look to a v-neck knit top and charmed necklace.
- The beauty of personal style is that you can add and delete aspects of your outfit any time to accomplish the look you want. If you like the popular hipster/vintage sundress, try adding a nice drape-front vest in peach, light grey, white or light brown.
