I had a blast hanging out with my good friend Sari Motley of SariMotley Cosmetics at her posh new studio in the Montrose area of Houston this week. Today, she’s introducing a multi-use product from Vapour that is going to be your favorite makeup staple whenever you travel – or for those work-to-happy-hour touch-ups we often need. It’s an all-in-one blush, eye color, and lip stain that comes in yummy colors and works well on any skin tone and type. It was about time I brightened my own look, so I picked up the stain in the “Crave” stain and a lip gloss. How do you choose the best color for skintone?
The Vapour Aura Blush colors are universally flattering, so they work on all skin tones. There are three different versions of the blush: classic, radiant and stain. The classic is inspired from “classic” blush tones that work on all skin. The radiant offers a little shimmer and is good for highlighting too. The stain offers a stronger pigment and a more long-lasting color. I find all three to have amazing wearability. Also, all are great for layering with a powder mineral blush for a more intense or “chic” blush look. I pick a new favorite color each day; today it’s CRAVE (a stain).
What are the best ways to apply for different occasions (from casual to dressy)?
The best way to apply these products is right from their convenient container. You can warm the product on the back of your hand and apply to skin directly from the stick. For an on-the-go look, a simple swoosh and blend will do. For more elegant look: swoosh, blend, pat and layer. You can also use more that one color, such as using a classic on the cheek and a radiant just slightly above cheek bone area.
Is this makeup great for more active trips like hiking and camping?
All of the Vapour products are a must-have for travel. They are easy, multi-tasking and wear-with-all gems for the makeup bag. The products are best kept out of sunlight at a cool room temperature.
